Learn How To Look Awesome In Your Senior Pictures Newport Beach

By Raymond Richardson

In Newport Beach, high school senior pictures are crucial photos to have taken. Many parents spend time searching for the best photographer, while seniors take hours to choose the most appropriate outfit to wear for their photo session. Senior pictures mark a milestone for high school seniors and illustrate to parents how much their child has grown over the last 18 years. To get perfect senior pictures Newport Beach students should do a few things.

One vital thing to do is getting the right choice of outfit. A good outfit allows the face to dominate the photo. The other elements in the portrait should come second. Therefore, choose attires that do not have bold patterns or bright colors. Bright colors and bold patterns can make people look at the clothes rather than your face. Also, go for outfits that do not get out of fashion. Go for a classic and timeless look by opting for attire that will look good even after 20 years.

It is of importance not to use products you are not accustomed to before the photo session. For instance, it is not wise to try out a new facial scrub the previous night before your photo session. It might cause allergic reactions or dry out your face, making your photographs to look horrible.

Remember to get enough rest for a week prior to your photo session. Many times people wear out themselves and they look tired on the day the pictures are being taken. The photographs will not look good and even twenty years to come, people will see your tired look when the photos were being taken.

If you wear jewelry, include important or special jewelry for that day, but keep in mind that too much jewelry may be distracting. Try to limit what to accessorize so it does not interfere with your portraits. For example, pendants may appear distracting because they are hard to keep in place as you move around when posing for the photos.

Considering the color of clothing is also essential. Solid colors are great. Darker shades usually can make you look slim. Do not go for neutral colors or flesh tones such as gray, white, pale pink or peach, beige as these colors will dominate the portrait and make you look washed out. Consider choosing clothes that have dark tones such as brown, green, wine, blue or rust so that your pictures will come out nicely.

Choose clothing that accentuates your best features. If you are a lady, forego spaghetti straps or short sleeves, if you have heavy arms, as these kinds of clothing will stress only this feature. If you have a long neck, tops with turtlenecks can accentuate this feature. If your face is square shaped or rounded, you can choose clothes with a square-neck top. If you have a pointed chin or thin face, you can opt for clothing with round neck tops.

You can also use props to personalize your senior pictures. Your photographer will most likely allow you to bring props to the photo shoot like sports gear, items related to your hobbies or musical instruments. You may also bring your pet and ask the photographer to include it in some photos.
