Describing And Defining The Work And Prophetic Ministry Start Up Coaching And Consulting

By Robert Foster

In this shaken and shaking and fragile world we need a word of assurance and reassurance and the apostle John reminds us of Him who lives forever and ever, in Revelation Chapter 10 and verse 5. You may need to be reminded of that. Have a look at the following article taking us through the theme As the end of time draws near there arise a need for ministry start up coaching and consulting.

This is why the apostle Paul, in his epistle, took up an offering for the believers living in Jerusalem. Paul was proactive in his response to this prophecy; prophecy helps us prepare and take proactive measures. Paul had a heart of compassion to help them through this unfruitful and challenging time. The church in Antioch acted proactively responding to the prophet's prediction that was yet to come.

This is why prophecy is so famous. God would rather have us take proactive measures, and lead to alleviate the burdens in the world. Prophecy opens the door for us to be active. The word predicted in the previous Scripture is translated semaino (say-mah'-ee-no) derived from the word sema; meaning "a mark; to indicate or to signify." Agabus, the prophet, marked a word and spoke it with great confidence.

We who are on this earth, but who are not inhabitants of the planet, because we are taught to be inhabitants of Zion, and we who are beleaguered and surrounded by many foes and who are small in number, are reminded that this Lord God Almighty is indeed sovereign. He controls earth and sea. This is the hour of mercy and forgiveness and love and peace, but time is running out.

In this passage, Jeremiah highlights three critical factors in the prophetic ministry. Prophets are to develop an intimate relationship with God since it is from this link that they acquire the ability to perceive what God is saying by visual or audible methods. Then they are to mark or ensure that what they receive is indeed a word from God.

One helpful insight and accurate definition regarding prophecy is - "the ability granted by the Holy Spirit to a believer to speak forth words which proceed from God that does come from the believer's wisdom, understanding or education." Sometimes what God reveals is for sharing immediately. Occasionally, the prophet may have to wait patiently for weeks or months and remain quiet, keeping that word in his heart until the correct moment.

To share what is in this book you must experience it personally. You cannot communicate this word if you have not eaten it and swallowed it and digested it. This part of Revelation is as personal as the messenger from Almighty God says, take it and eat it and receive it - all of it - and then proclaim it and share it.

A prophet is similar to the antenna on a car. He or she picks up sound waves from the airwaves of heaven, learns to translate them and then disseminates this information in a clear message to its intended audience; much like a car radio does with radio sound waves. After a person or a prophet goes into God's presence, he is to perceive a word by visual or audible means.
