This substance is, in pure form, colorless and tasteless. It is a product of processing meat. It is a very popular dessert item that is easy to prepare. There are now more than enough colored and flavored kinds available almost in very store.

One good recipe is the Seven Layer Salad. For this recipe you will need seven packages of gelatin and one can evaporated milk. You need frozen whipped topping, four and a half cups of boiling and cold water.

First coat a 9x13 dish with cooking spray. Next, dissolve a pack in three fourths cup of boiled water then add also three fourths cup of cold water. Spoon into the mold and refrigerate. Dissolve another pack in one half cup of boiling water. Once dissolved, add half cup of cold water. Place on top of first layer and repeat until all seven packages are utilized. Before serving, top with whipped cream.

You may also want to try this remake on the popular Broken Glass. You need to prepare crushed graham, about one and one half cups. You will also need half cup of both melted butter and sugar. Keep handy three different gelatin flavors. The ones used in this recipe are lime, strawberry and orange, but you can change these with other flavors if you desire. And finally, a container of frozen whipped cream and some unflavored jelly.

You can start by making the crust. To do this, simply mix together the graham, sugar, and butter and press it on a greased pan. Allow the crust to chill by placing it in the fridge for a few minutes.

You need to do the unflavored one first. Dissolve the unflavored version in boiling pineapple juice. Set aside in a big bowl to cool and set. Then dissolve each flavor individually in separate half a cup of boiling water. Once done, you can cut into cubes of your desired size. Fold all the jellies in whipped cream, pour onto the crust, then chill for about two hours.
