Red Hair Styles

By Darren Hartley

Red hair styles spell fun these days. A surge in their popularity equates to stylists getting more requests for this glam shade today more than ever. The single biggest mistake that women who dye their hair red make is going too monochromatic. Hair should never be one single color.

There is a difference between showstopping red hair styles and styles for other hair colors. Most hair colors fall into a scale of 1 to 10 with regards to lightness or darkness. 1 implies a jet black color while 10 projects a platinum blonde color. Red does not.

Red is a color, not a level, so it has its own levels and tones. Because of the many different variations it offers, a woman must know exactly how dark or light, cool or warm she wants the red hair styles to be.

Medium skin tones have more pigments. Red hair styles for this skin tone must consist of medium coppery blonde to medium auburn shades. Dark eggplant hues must be steered away from as they are bound to make the skin yellow for women with medium skin tones.

Nicole Kidman, Karen Elson and Florence Welch are the celebrities to look up to when talking of women with light skin and red hair styles. They simply look marvellous.

Red hair styles are good styles because they stand out and are definitely showstoppers. They can be really striking on the right persons possessing the right attitudes. The downside to red hair is its requiring high maintenance. A woman must be prepared to visit her salon every 3 to 4 weeks as red color rinses out very quickly.
