Sustainable Growth Comes From The Best Wisconsin Christmas Tree Farms

By Essie Osborn

Around the holidays, everyone is distracted looking for decorations and things to serve on the festive table, to spend this unique celebration in a magnificent way. The Christmas tree is the symbol of this celebration and should be present in every home during this holiday. In the State of Wisconsin, some have turned this tradition in good business, as they have Wisconsin Christmas tree farms for growing such trees, and the diversity of species there is immense.

Why not bet on a real, live plant, which after the holidays you will be able to plant in the yard of the Villa, in front of the block or in the Park? In this way, not only will you not harm nature, but will help plant a tree. This way, the holiday will be more special and everyone will be happy.

Real trees need over seven years of growth, before they can be used. Proponents of faux trees refer to the fact that by reusing theirs year after year, they help save seven to ten live trees during the average life expectancy of their artificial one. Not to even mention the fuels used for transportation of natural trees.

The natural habitats of these plants are mountain areas with an altitude of 1200 -1400 m. It is sensitive to urban air pollution and summer droughts, hence you need to plant your trees in a park, or in nature. But on the farm, the experts try to make conditions for the growth of the plant that are near the natural maximum.

Contrary to those who believe that the use of artificial trees helps to save the forests and agricultural lands, some manufacturers claim that their farm is located most commonly on land that will not hold food crops and at least three seedlings are planted for each one that is harvested. It is entirely possible to buy one, planted in a pot, whose roots are intact and subsequently, you can try to replant it, or simply let it grow in the pot for the next year, but at the appropriate place. The inside of your home is not conducive to the constant growing of the plant.

For the end of year holidays, you all want to decorate your own Christmas tree. When you buy a live one, you will give its contribution to the preservation of nature. But to survive the holidays, you need to carefully choose it and care for it well.

Maritime pine is a plant, whose natural range covers part of the Mediterranean coast of Europe and Africa, and Atlantic coast of Southwest Europe. Sea pine is one of the fastest growing representatives of the genus. It shows a very rapid growth in the first years and retains this rate to 50-60 years of age.

Living trees that are sold around the holidays, are growing in the ground and shortly before being put on sale are transplanted in a pot. The root system of these trees, however, is broader than the crown, and therefore usually truncates to fit in the narrow pot. Don't buy large trees in small pots- they will hardly survive until spring. In addition, keep in mind that the smaller the plant, the easier it will adapt to the change to survive the whole length of the holidays and stay with its original good looks and live for a long time after the holidays.
