Star Wars And Rose Tattoo Designs

By Darren Hartley

Star Wars is a very popular film that is familiar to almost all people around the world. It is filled with so many lovable characters that each has its own following. By wearing the image of their favourite character in the form of Star Wars tattoos, these followers show their devotion to the character they favour.

The huge variety of Star Wars tattoos out there has neutralized the geek value of each design when taken individually. This, however, is not the case for the combination of a Classic Star Wars icon with the queen of cartoon kitties. This particular design crossed the line and made it to the list of ultimate geekdom.

Among the popular film characters that are most featured in Star Wars tattoos are Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker. While these tattoos are available in designs that are not bad at all, contests are being held to find the best designs for them. These contests have been joined in by fans who are not afraid to go under the needle just to prove their devotion to the saga.

For centuries, rose flowers have been favoured subjects for artists in paintings. For this reason, it is not at all a surprise that rose tattoo designs have become one of the most chosen themes for both men and women. Known not only for their beauty, these tattoos are also popular for the symbolic meanings they convey.

The meanings associated with rose tattoo designs vary by color. While red roses represent love, beauty and romantic love, yellow roses express joy and friendship. Dark red roses stand for unconscious beauty while black roses symbolize death.

It is believed that Aphrodite, the goddess of love, is responsible for the red color of the rose, believed to be originally white by the Greeks. Two flowers that share a lot of meanings in the world of body art are the rose and the lotus. The lotus is known in the east while the rose is more appreciated in the west. The meaning symbolized by rose tattoo designs are drastically changed when they are combined with other objects, mainly due to the integration of the two images.
