Things You Should Know About The U816 Quadcopter

By Rosella Campbell

The rise of modern technology has brought about so many innovative creations that do more than one functions. These stuff are made by creative thinkers who wish to make lives better. They have varied functions, all of which are aimed to make life easier and more fulfilling.

These creative thinkers have turned into reality stuff that you have never even thought possible. They brought to life a variety of appliances, gadgets, and other equipment that are very useful in specific fields. For example, new drugs are made to treat diseases that are deemed incurable. New theories contest what is learned in school, new instruments are used in a multitude of many uses. One of these is the creation of the u816 quadcopter, which is actually more useful than it may appear.

This so called quadcopter is a combination of two words, as its name is originally quadrotor helicopter. This is a unique take on ordinary propelled copters. It is lifted and maintained airborne by all four turbines, instead of the usual main and tail rotor systems of standard ones. This one has four uniquely pitched turbines, two that turn clockwise and another two that turn counter. To make a quad work, one has to alter some of the characteristics of the torque that powers it, such as the load and the lift thrust capabilities.

The earliest of its kind was meant to be a more better alternative to the standard designs which came with the tail rotor, a feature that was apparently useless to lift the whole thing up. These unique designs came out as early as the 1920s and the 1930s, but were not totally successful. The earliest prototypes had a very lousy performance, while those that came after them required too much pilot load.

Finally, more recent ones got it perfectly right, and so the public jumped on the quadcopter bandwagon. They are used for research work, mainly. It is no secret that these little babies were instrumental in cracking the mysteries of navigation theories, flight control myths, even robotics.

They are favorite tools for similar studies mainly because they are cheap. Conduction of tests and experiments often require many repetitions to ensure unbiased results, so expensive tools are impractical. Their no nonsense mechanical design makes them easier to reconstruct even by those who are new to the test field. Sometimes, they are used as test platforms when computer science experts collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on a joint project.

Quads are also of great use for military and law enforcement. These unmanned aerial vehicles are often used for surveillance and reconnaissance activities. They are used to extract valuable information from enemies without having to sacrifice the life of a person, which makes them very important in warfare. They are also used for search and rescue operations especially in areas that are unreachable by humans.

At present, quads are even transformed into toys. They are the latest addictive collectors item for boys and those who are young at heart. These quads are purchased in retail stores and even over the internet.

The u816 is the smallest model in the entire quad line. Its size makes it more lightweight and easy to maneuver. This is the perfect model for those who have not played with one before.
