Purchase extra yarns for your project. The instructions either tell you the right measure of the weight or suggest a specific number of yarns of a particular brand. Check the numbers of the skeins. Purchase the same lot number for all the brands and colors. There are some lots available in the stores that seems different, but looks different in the finished products.

You have the choice to buy hooks in a set. However, you also need to acquire an organizer for the hooks. Some steel hooks have smaller size compared to aluminum and plastic hooks which is in a larger size. Most of the steel hooks are for small threads. You may also choose to use a plastic, instead of using huge hooks.

It is necessary to buy baskets of bags in keeping your supplies in place and to keep them organized. Organizing them properly will able you to find them easily once needed. It is important to keep them organized, especially if you have children at home or even pets. You can also choose a lightweight bag with handles in carrying your project.

You should also be needing other supplies for your project. You may thread needles, scissors, row counters, stitch gauge and magnifying tapes. You also need magnifying lights or stitch markers and comfort pads.

Most crocheters are conveniently using thread bobbins to hold a small amount of skeins. Small bobbins can be used for projects which you can change the colors without getting them tangled. Large bobbins can pull the thread from the skeins.
