The Success Of Jungian Therapy

By Maria White

Freud and Jung were the forefathers of psychotherapy. They differed in their approach somewhat. Jung pulled away and developed other theories. As years went by, other theories have been developed. However, one always holds on to Freud and Jungian therapy. There are many different aspects to look at and this will vary from one person to the next.

However, there are also others that will debate why they have better effects on the patient. Many people say that this is more of a traditional approach. It has been used from the beginning and so many people have benefited from it. Other people will say that you have step forward and try other forms of therapy. They say that it can depend on the person and the situation.

For example, there are people that can benefit from this type of therapy, but there are other people who may not be able to express themselves. This is why they should rather try and turn to creative therapy, for example. This will help them to feel a sense of freedom as they begin to experiment with different forms of creativity.

Although they may not remember this, they will have these memories stored in their subconscious. This is a really big factor that one has to take into consideration. It is the neglect and sense of abandonment that is so huge. When you feel this as a child, you will also feel this as a child. It can lead to a lack of confidence as well as a low self esteem.

Having a good relationship is the number one factor to take into consideration. You may find that experience and qualifications can be something worth considering. Obviously this does come into play and you need to focus on this as well. But without a good connection and a unique relationship, it is difficult to focus on the problem at hand.

The main concept of this form of therapy is to focus on the subconscious thoughts and feelings. There is always much going on in the subconscious which one needs to deal with. Not everyone is aware of this. Many people think that the past is in the past, but this is not really true. You may have had a traumatic upbringing and think this is in the past, but this is not really true.

Psychotherapy of this variety deals with the unconscious and the subconscious. People are not often aware of their childhood and how this come into play. However, it most certainly does have an impact on your life. Slowly you may have certain memories that can flash up here and there. These are not easy to deal with, because you will need to become vulnerable.

Often, someone simply thinks that life is a struggle. They may go to an a analyst like this when they become more depressed. The analyst is good at going deeper with the theory of these emotions. Often, they go back to the childhood years. This is what they will discuss together. Sometimes, the person will come to therapy because they are having problems with their relationships or they are feeling stuck in one place. This type of therapy can also be useful.
