Hairstyles For Round Faces

By Darren Hartley

Hairstyles for round faces help a woman keep her face from looking rounder by making it look more oval. First things first. How does a woman know if her face is round or not? If her face does not have any major corners at a jaw, then it is a possibility. If the length of her face is more or less equal to its width, then it becomes more of a fact.

One major aspect of focus-moving hairstyles for round faces is leaving a little hair in front of one ear or both instead of tucking all the hair at the back. This visually stops the width of the face. It cuts off the circle and tricks the eye into thinking that the width of the face stops there.

Be wary of a common mistake many women do when creating hairstyles for round faces. They try to hide the roundness of the face behind hair pushed forward. A forward push to the hair does not make a round face look more oval. Instead, it frames the cheeks, making them fuller than they actually are.

Other than leaving a few strands in front of the ears, what is another trick to hairstyles for round faces? Deep hair parting can move the focus away from the shape of the face. It does this by making the face appear more oval or even longer, following how the parting is managed. The face length and width can no longer be seen as being equal to each other.

If a woman thinks that chopping off the hair right off does not make good hairstyles for round faces, she's in for a big surprise. The face can be made to look elongated with super short hair with a fuller top accessorized with lots of choppy texture. Super short hair works perfectly for round and oval faces.

Whether a woman wears a bob, a pixie, or long hair down her waist, the hair section that falls in front of the ears must always be kept on the long side. That section is what hairstyles for long hair are all about. Cut that section and a woman opens up the roundness of her face in all its glory.
