Discover The Taste Temptation Of The California Bay Leaf

It is that time of the year again and the food festival is around the corner. This is the time of the year where everyone in the town makes something special for the festival. Here you can savor the tastes of foods from all over the world and see the benefits of the California bay leaf.

The ladies from the spice shop always make their lamb curry for this special day. Using a myriad of herbs and spices makes their curry something everyone simply has to test. One will experience the spice and very chili type food with a slight hint of bay leaf.

The traditional chicken pie created especially for this day by mayor's wife is a hit every year and one cannot give this one a miss. The juicy mushrooms make it so much tastier and the soft potatoes simply make for a scrumptious tasting. The pastry for this pie is delicious and flaky.

The lamb shanks made by the old men from the community are something you cannot resist. They are always soft and tender and keep you going back for just a little more. You have to be careful not to eat too much or else you will have no place for anything else.

No food festival is complete without the pastor's wife's delicious turkey. She takes pride in her recipe and with good reason. Everyone crowds around her to get some of the tender breasts. The juicy meat falls apart when she cuts it and is so very tasty.

Some of the local South Africans from the car dealership have set up what they call a 'braai'. This is a type of barbecue where meat is cooked over an open fire. Although the concept is the same, their meat tastes decidedly different and is more smoky and juicy. Their sausage is full of herbs and spices and one cannot resist going back for more.

When it comes to food to go crazy over, you need look no further than the little old Italian lady's table. Here she has slices of her traditional pizza that she makes in her special oven. There simply is no other such dish and you can taste all the fresh herbs. The extra cheese she adds makes for long strings when you bite into the slice of steaming pizza. The best thing to do here is order another piece to take away.

Food festivals are renowned not only for the use of California bay leaf, but for their desert tables too. This is where you will find all the sweet toothed citizens of the town. The ladies form the local church make delicious trifle every year which you cannot go without trying out. Not to mention the traditional homemade ice cream that brings back such fond memories with the sweet vanilla taste. All the tiramisu tarts and peppermint cookies along with the pineapple tarts and delicious chocolate fudge simply add pounds to the hips by walking past the tables. This is where folks spend most of their time as they ponder on what to try next. For most, they have to try everything there and leave these tables with piles of take- aways.
