Learn About Lucid Dreaming

By David Wolf

When a person is sleeping, but is aware that he or she is dreaming, the process can be referred to as lucid dreaming. At some point during the dream, the person becomes aware that what is happening is impossible. For instance, it is obvious that humans cannot fly because they don't have wings. When you are dreaming, you will be able to decide whether or not it is a regular dream or a lucid one.

Lucid dreaming can be compared to figuring out that you are dreaming because you wake up inside of the dream. Many people are doubtful of a lucid dream. They do not think that it is possible to conscious or aware while a dream is going on. Lucid dreaming is very controversial. It is often looked on with the same regard as crystal reading and other similar occurrences.

There are some people who think that there is some science in lucid dreaming . A study involving brain activity test, or EEGs, was carried out to study brain activity of participants using eyelids during lucid dreams. The scientists concluded that the eyelid movements were proof of brain activity during the lucid dream.

The idea of lucid dream may be debatable, but it can be even more challenging to think that some people can control their dreams. There are scientist that agree with this while others disagree. There are clubs around that people who are interested in lucid dreaming can join. There are even machines and other types of devices that can be bought to help people induce lucid dreams.

Originally, lucid dreaming was only used to refer to research studies that were carried out on psychical topics. The whole idea was thought to be of paranormal nature because it was very difficult to understand. Nowadays, however, it is somewhat of a fad. There are many believers who are actively encouraging others to give it a try before dismissing it.
